Colors, lights and combinations to enhance resins (roller)

The first criterion concerns the shade . Grays are certainly the protagonists: from light, almost ice-like gray, which illuminates garages and laboratories, immediately making the space look cleaner, to medium and dark grays, more technical and suitable for industrial contexts or areas where small marks must be less noticeable. In residential settings, warm neutral tones , such as greige, sand, and dove gray, also prove very interesting, as they interact best with white or beige walls and existing wood or stoneware floors.

Bolder colors— blue, green, red, yellow —can be used to delineate functional areas (parking areas, walkways, workspaces) or to add a touch of personality to otherwise dull spaces. For example, a garage with a medium gray floor can feature colored strips to indicate parking spaces, storage areas, or walkways, making the space more visible and organized.

Light plays a fundamental role in the perception of resin flooring. Glossy surfaces are highly reflective, highlighting any defects in the substrate but also increasing the overall brightness; matte and satin finishes create a softer perception and "tame" reflections. In environments with limited natural light, clear resins and satin finishes help diffuse artificial light better.

Artificial lighting—ceiling lamps, LED strips, and spotlights—should be designed in conjunction with the floor color. Cooler lights (4000K) accentuate the clean, technical look of grays and whites, while warmer lights (2700–3000K) soften sand, greige, and warm neutral tones, making service areas feel less "hospital-like."

Matching walls and furnishings complete the picture. Medium gray resin floors paired with white or very light gray walls create a clean foundation for metal shelving, equipment, and technical furniture. In hobby rooms or creative studios, neutral-toned resin floors can serve as a canvas for colorful furnishings, work tables, and wooden elements. In contemporary living areas or open spaces, carefully selected roller-coated resins paired with neutral walls and a few wood and metal elements can create a distinctive floor, especially in industrial-style spaces.

The relationship with other coverings is also important: where resin is bonded to tiles, parquet, or exteriors, the choice of color can help manage the transition. A slightly different tone yet consistent with the adjacent material (for example, a warm gray next to stone-effect stoneware) makes the transition smooth; a strongly contrasting color emphasizes the difference and establishes a "technical" area as opposed to a more domestic one.

Highlight

• Neutral palettes (grays, greiges, sands) work very well to give continuity to multiple rooms with the same cycle.
• The slightly satin finish enhances natural light and masks small marks better than a full gloss.
• Excellent aesthetic compatibility with wood, plasterboard, painted walls and metal or matt black details.
• Full, bold colours can be used in service areas, laboratories or specific areas to give identity.

Low Light

• Very dark or very uniform shades highlight scratches, dust and small imperfections in the substrate more.
• Ill-considered combinations with adjacent floors (tiles, wood, SPC) can create inelegant and sharp contrasts.
