Maintenance and cleaning of green wall works

Let's start with preserved moss, which is one of the reasons why vertical walls are so popular. It's a natural material treated to stay soft over time without the need for water or direct sunlight. Let's explain what this means in practice: no watering, no soil, no irrigation systems. However, avoid direct and prolonged exposure to sunlight and close proximity to heat sources (radiators, stoves) that could dry it out.

Let's talk about how to manage dust: in most cases, a light blast of cool air (for example, with a hairdryer set to cool) or a very delicate dusting with a soft brush is sufficient, especially on wooden elements, frames, and the surrounding greenery. Moss, if of high quality, retains very little dust thanks to its structure and antistatic treatments.

For walls with artificial plants, maintenance is even simpler but must be done regularly. We recommend periodic dusting with anti-static cloths or air, avoiding liquids that could drip onto the walls or inside the modules. In high-traffic areas or near kitchens and public spaces, we recommend small, scheduled maintenance to restore the greenery to its original appearance.

We also address the issue of minor accidental damage: a bump, an object that tears away a few clumps of moss, a particularly curious child. Quick, micro-repairs are generally possible, but for more complex repairs, it's sometimes worth replacing a module or portion of a panel. One of the advantages of modular vertical walls is precisely the ability to intervene only where necessary.

Highlight

• Scheduled maintenance keeps the wall uniform, healthy and pleasant over time.
• Regular pruning, plant replacement and pest control prevent visible deterioration.
• Inspectable irrigation systems make it easier to locate leaks or blocked nozzles.

Low Light

• They require ongoing commitment: they are not a “set and forget” item.
• Prolonged periods of absence or lack of maintenance can seriously compromise the system.
• Some species require more frequent seasonal checks and basic botanical skills.
