For wooden floors , daily care aims to preserve the surface finish, whether varnish or oil. Regular cleaning involves vacuuming with soft brushes or microfiber cloths, avoiding hard brushes that can scratch. Frequent washing with excessive water is not recommended; it's best to use well-wrung cloths and specific parquet cleaners, pH-neutral and formulated to leave no residue.

For oiled floors, periodically applying revitalizing products can be helpful to nourish the wood and maintain a uniform appearance. Bumpers under chairs, felt pads under furniture, and keeping an eye out for small stones brought in from outside can help reduce streaks and marks concentrated in certain areas. Any superficial scratches can often be minimized with touch-up kits or, in more obvious cases, with targeted treatments on small areas.

Laminates require even simpler maintenance. The melamine surface is durable and doesn't absorb liquids like wood, but it's still best to avoid prolonged water stagnation. Vacuuming with a soft brush and damp cloths with neutral detergents are also recommended. The use of non-specific waxes, oils, or polishes is not recommended, as they can leave streaks or make the floor slippery.

For SPC floors, daily maintenance is very similar to that of laminates, with the advantage of greater stability against moisture. In areas such as kitchens and entryways, SPC tolerates more frequent cleaning and minor contact with water well, as long as it doesn't lead to prolonged flooding. Even in this case, the use of overly aggressive or solvent-based detergents is not recommended.

Another aspect concerns extraordinary maintenance . Wooden floors, depending on the thickness of the top layer, can be re-sanded and re-treated, restoring the surface to its original state. Laminate and SPC floors, on the other hand, are not designed to be sanded; any deep damage is addressed by replacing the affected planks, an operation especially possible on floating floors.

Highlight

• Daily cleaning is simple: vacuum cleaner or soft broom and slightly damp cloth.
• Factory treatments protect the surface from light stains and household dirt.
• Good quality SPC and laminates tolerate lived-in environments, entrances and frequent passages well.

Low Light

• Excess water, overly wet buckets or stagnant water can damage wood and laminates over time.
• Too aggressive or abrasive detergents ruin the finish and can make the floor dull.
• Thin heels, sand and furniture dragged without protection increase the risk of visible scratches.
