Maintenance and cleaning of resin processing (roller)

Routine cleaning of a resin floor with a roller involves using a vacuum cleaner or soft broom to remove dust and small debris that, if dragged under the soles or wheels, can scratch the surface over time, especially with glossy or satin finishes.
For cleaning, use neutral detergents diluted in water, avoiding overly aggressive products, strong strippers, or solvents that could dull or corrode the protective film. In domestic or semi-residential environments, a well-wrung microfiber cloth or a soft mop is generally sufficient to keep the surface clean.
In garages and utility rooms, you may encounter oil, fuel, paint, or other chemical stains. The golden rule is to act immediately, removing the bulk with absorbent paper and compatible detergents. Many epoxy and polyurethane resins tolerate these accidents well, but no material likes aggressive liquids remaining on its surface for long periods.
Over time, micro-scratches may appear due to normal use, especially in high-traffic areas or where heavy objects are dragged. In some applications, a slight surface abrasion can be expected after several years, followed by the application of a new coat of clear or colored finish, which refreshes the appearance and restores some of the original protection.
It is useful to define, at least mentally, a maintenance plan based on the type of environment:
At home or in private offices, a periodic visual inspection and some attention to more severe impacts are generally sufficient.
In heavily used workshops, laboratories, or garages, it may be advisable to schedule more structured interventions every few years, especially if the floor supports heavy loads and intense traffic.
An often overlooked aspect is the choice of cleaning products, which should be entrusted to those who actually work in the environment (condominium owners, cleaning companies, internal staff). It's important that they receive clear instructions on what can and cannot be used, to avoid damage caused by "miracle" products that are incompatible with the resin.
With a few regular maintenance steps, roller-coated resin surfaces maintain a tidy and functional appearance for a long time, without requiring complicated maintenance or overly specialized products.
Highlight
• Continuous surfaces, with few visible joints, are easier to clean than many traditional tiles.
• With neutral detergents and soft cloths, a good level of daily cleanliness can easily be maintained.
• In case of wear of the surface layer, many cycles allow you to renew the protective layer without demolishing everything.
Low Light
• Overly aggressive detergents or concentrated degreasers can dull and harden the surface over time.
• If the initial maturation times are not respected, the first washes risk marking the resin film.
• Deep scratches and localized impacts may require sanding and spot repairs that are not always invisible.
