Maintaining decorative vertical surfaces starts with simple, regular steps. Almost all coverings, whether SPC, wood, or composite, benefit from periodic dusting : soft cloths, anti-static dusters, or vacuum cleaners with soft brushes can remove dust and particles before they accumulate in joints, ridges, and corners.

For SPC wall panels , cleaning is similar to that of an SPC or LVT floor: use neutral detergents diluted in water and soft, slightly damp cloths, avoiding aggressive products, solvents, or abrasive sponges. For more stubborn stains, it's best to persist with several gentle passes rather than force the surface.

Wooden slats require a little extra care depending on the finish: painted or oiled surfaces should be cleaned with compatible products, avoiding excessive use of water or greasy detergents. In dusty environments, using a vacuum cleaner with a soft nozzle is often the most practical solution for cleaning between slats without leaving streaks.

Textile or sound-absorbent panels must be handled with greater care: light vacuuming, using specific fabric products, and avoiding excessive wetting, which could deform the internal core. In heavily frequented environments, scheduled maintenance (e.g., annual) keeps the covering clean and functional over time.

For 3D coatings and surfaces with marked reliefs, dust tends to settle more in the cavities. Here too, a vacuum cleaner with soft attachments and slightly damp cloths are the main tools; overly aggressive products risk dulling paints and finishes, especially if they are matte or satin.

In addition to cleaning, maintenance includes periodic visual checks : verifying that there are no loose panels, loose slats, open joints, or unusual signs of moisture or leaks. Addressing a single element at the onset of a problem is much easier than addressing widespread deterioration.

Over time, if the furnishings and colors of adjacent walls change, some coverings can be refreshed or updated : paintable wood panels, wall-colored profiles, modular elements. Having a removable or modular solution from the start helps manage these changes.

Highlight

• Regular dusting with soft tools keeps panels, strips and 3D coverings clean without damaging them.
• SPC panels and technical surfaces can be easily cleaned with neutral detergents and slightly damp cloths.
• Periodic checks allow you to address any loosening or signs of moisture before they get worse.

Low Light

• Aggressive products, solvents and abrasive sponges can dull or permanently scratch the finishes.
• Neglecting to clean highly textured coverings causes dust to accumulate in reliefs and joints, worsening the aesthetics.
