MOSS & STONE

Travertine and lime unite all the rooms with textured walls and stone details, while green moss inserts add a natural, light touch. The shower, restored in decorated resin, is completed with a starry sky of phosphorus pearls: essential during the day, it becomes an intimate, spa-like corner in the evening.
The Project
Moss&Stone was created to transform a lived-in home into a contemporary and coherent space. The common thread is a dialogue between white travertine, textured lime, and light : surfaces that elegantly connect the rooms and bring greenery into the home in a measured way, without sacrificing warmth and personality.
We start with the hardest work: almost complete clearing , protection, and sanding of the real wood floor. After 20 years, the parquet is restored to a uniform and luminous appearance, sealed with a satin finish for an instant rejuvenation effect.
Next, we painted the entire room and painted the ceilings in a very light beige to avoid any sharp contrasts. The 6 cm shutter remains the main feature: a bold frame that gives depth to the walls. To integrate the systems and furnishings, we painted the radiators and air conditioning units black , matching the details of the furniture.
In the entrance hall, living room, and bedroom corridor, travertine becomes a decorative element: a high-relief "tile" with horizontal bands in bas-relief that follows the staircase and runs along the side walls, interrupted midway to make room for the brown-beige limewash, also laid horizontally. Mica powder creates delicate reflections, and touches of preserved moss appear between some inserts: a subtle green that warms and adds a sense of space. Hidden light sources enhance volumes and nuances.
In the master bathroom: clean white; the shower features textured resin with a spatula effect, UV LED strips, and a waterfall showerhead. Above, Galaxias with phosphor spheres creates a starry sky that glows in the dark and is enhanced by UV light. Outside, the refurbished balcony railings restore character to the façade.
