Shimmer Living is a project designed to make light "play" inside the home. A renovated two-story apartment with full paintwork (white ceilings) and a decor designed as a continuous thread: from the entrance to the living room, from the hallway leading to the study area, to the staircase and the upper floor. Here, every choice has a specific purpose: to create elegance, continuity, and a sense of luminous lightness.

The heart of the work is the striped lime high relief : a vertical work constructed by hand with technical tools, then reworked, refined, and protected. Over this material base, we applied a mother-of-pearl finish, capable of amplifying natural light and transforming throughout the day: in the morning, it is delicate and silky, in the evening, it becomes deeper and more vibrant. On the other surfaces, the mother-of-pearl returns in a nuanced version, softer and more continuous, enveloping the space without being excessive and allowing the living room to communicate with the kitchen. Hidden lighting points complete the design, enhancing textures and micro-reflections without glare.

The decoration doesn't stop in the living area: it ascends the staircase and continues into the upstairs hallway, creating a coherent path to the bedrooms. It's a detail that makes all the difference: not separate rooms, but a unique, tailor-made project.

A second material appears in the kitchen and dining area: polished stone in ochre tones, applied behind the table and echoed on the wall behind the stove. The result is a warm, chromatic continuity that lends character and order, like a discreet signature that returns in the right places.

In the bathrooms, in addition to painting, we worked specifically on the restoration : first analyzing the critical areas, protecting them, and removing the affected areas. Then we applied an anti-mold and sanitizing treatment, respecting the required exposure and drying times to prevent recurrence and restore a healthy surface. Where necessary, we re-grouted and smoothed the surfaces, restoring edges and joints to restore the walls to a uniform appearance. The final finish was chosen to be bright and durable, suitable for humid environments: a clean, tidy, and easy-to-maintain result, consistent with the elegance of the rest of the home.

Finally, in the living room, there was a custom-made display cabinet that naturally separated dining and relaxation areas, while still maintaining a single open space. We transformed it without replacing it: removing the glass, making small adjustments to the doors to prevent contact, and then re-cladding it with a soft, satin-finish white laminate that matched the built-in bookcase units. Careful attention to detail, precise cuts, and final reassembly: a custom restyling that restores light to the furniture and elegantly completes the overall look.
